Paul McSporran (Sweeny)

Everyone at Oblong is very sad to hear of the death of Paul McSporran, an Oblong member who worked incredibly hard to raise money for our centre as well as other local groups. Paul was friendly, energetic and outgoing and put his love of music to use in helping his local community by putting on a huge number of gigs, including a huge fund-raiser for Oblong which raised over £800 for us as well as showcasing 15 local acts and providing a platform for Pat from Mothers Against Violence.

Paul struggled against his illness and only stopped working when his health would no longer allow him to. He made a real difference and was an inspiration to a huge number of people. His energy, creativity and passion will be missed by everyone at Oblong. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
