Oblong Assembly and Working Group meetings - get involved!

At the end of March Oblong will lose around 80% of our funding. We want to keep the centre open as much as we can but will be relying on volunteers to make it happen. The response so far has been amazing but we still need more people to help us. Get in touch or come to a meeting if you would like to get involved in any of the areas below, or if you would like more information. All meetings are at Oblong.

Oblong Assembly

The main meeting where important decisions are made and all the working groups get together.
Next meeting 8th April 7pm.

Information Techonology Working Group

Maintains the computers, teaches IT and provides IT support for people who user the resource centre.
Meets every Friday at 1pm. Contact Ben.

Communications Working Group

Deals with all of Oblong's internal and external communications including this website, leaflets, flyers, networking and emails.
Meetings at 6.30pm before every assembly.

Member projects Working Group

Supports the community groups that use Oblong with training and advice.
Meetings 12pm every Tuesday.

Design Collective

Provides a free design service for community groups, including leaflets, websites, flyers and newsletters.
Meetings 2pm every Tuesday.

Centre Co-ordination Working Group

Responsible for the smooth running of the centre including reception, admin and bookings.
Next meeting 7pm, Wednesday 19th March.
